Bourne Flood

During late 2000 there was a huge flood caused by the rising of the Bourne spring
A large area of land was flooded from Caterham down to Purley
A distance of about 4 miles
All the following pictures were taken at Whyteleafe in December 2000
This photo is of the Bourne Stream at Coulsdon South railway station taken February 2003
It can be seen, if not dried up, at the end of the passage way from Reddown Road just before you
go up the steps to the station platform Brighton side
